Where the magic is in the making

Noosa Library Service Makerspaces are designed to provide welcoming areas for making, learning and socialising.
Users can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover, using a variety of tools with a digital focus. The space hosts new and emerging technology such as 3D printers and scanner, laser cutter and engraver, a virtual reality system, sewing machines, and
digitizing equipment.

We encourage users to be creative and learn through experimentation, which will spark new ideas and new ways of thinking. By seeing and sharing what other people have made, new concepts and designs can be generated. Our future will benefit from people who with these new ideas and new ways of thinking, can solve problems with technology.

If you are interested in being involved, there are a range of introductory workshops that will inspire you to be creative with technology. You can also become a Makerspace Member to access the spaces and equipment independently.

We compliment these services with a Book a Maker service for one-on-one help with 3D printing and a limited print and collect service. For the electronic minded we also run programs in micro-processing using Arduino’s and offer basic robotic and drone workshops for youths.
