You can request books not held by Noosa Library Service from other library services. Before you request an interlibrary loan, please check the library catalogue to make sure Noosa Library Service does not have the item in its collection. If you cannot find the item in the Noosa Library Service catalogue, submit an Interlibrary Loan Request. The library will attempt to obtain the item, however, availability is subject to the lending policies of the library that owns the item. It can take some time for items to arrive.
We will first try to borrow items from a library that will not charge. In some instances, a fee of up to $16.50 (GST inclusive) will apply for items that can only be obtained from a lending library that charges a fee for the loan. This generally applies to those items that are obtained from National Library of Australia, university libraries and special libraries. Please indicate to library staff or on the item request form if you are willing to pay this fee.
