Noosa Library Service offers support for people having difficulty with speaking, reading and writing English, undertaking basic numerical skills or managing their personal finances.
Volunteer tutors provide one-on-one support in literacy and numeracy at Cooroy and Noosaville Libraries. If you need assistance (or know someone who does), please contact the Literacy Coordinator on (07) 5329-6555 or firstname.lastname@example.org
If you (or someone you know) finds money matters stressful or confusing, you can get free one-on-one help from a volunteer tutor at the library. Topics covered will include budgeting, banking, loans and basic financial contracts to help you manage your finances and achieve your goals. Call the library on 5329-6534 or email email@example.com
Becoming a Tutor
Regular training courses are provided to volunteer tutors as part of Noosa Library Service's Community Literacy and Financial Literacy Programs. Enrollment to train as a tutor is by application and interview.
Future training courses will be advertised in local media, the library's social media, and on the library website.
We also welcome inquiries from individuals already holding qualifications in adult literacy, such as Volunteer Community Adult Literacy Tutoring 30979QLD or Adult Literacy and Numeracy 10344NAT.
For more information on the program, please contact the Community Literacy Coordinator on phone (07) 5329-6555 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
