While Noosaville Library is closed for refurbishment you can still borrow books and attend programs at our temporary library locations. These include sites at Noosa Leisure Centre and Noosa Civic Centre. For more information phone us or visit our refurbishment page.

Babes in arms

Babies love the sound of your voice. Rhymes and songs are great for growing baby brains! Sessions involve 30 minutes of songs, rhymes and finger plays to encourage literacy and language development for infants.

Storytime

Storytime is a program designed for preschool aged children and their parents or carers. Each 45 minute session consists of singing, rhyming, reading and age relevant creative play. Parents/carers join in with the children to encourage language and listening skills, promote attention and curiosity, and develop your child’s manual ability and creativity.

Looking forward to peace

A community event to commemorate the centenary of the armistice that ended World War I. Includes a re-enactment of the 1918 peace flotilla on the Noosa River, musical entertainment by the Andrews Sisters Tribute, Noosa Chorale and others, information displays, a community art activity, and food and refreshments. This project is proudly supported by the Queensland Government.

New life for old clothes - Upcycling workshop

Immerse yourself in creative upcycling with Jane Milburn as she inspires sustainable and ethical reuse of unloved natural-fibre clothing. Bring along a few garments from your wardrobe that you are holding onto but not wearing in their current form. Discuss options for their revival and, within the workshop, use simple hand sewing and cutting techniques to restyle them for a second life.

Girls in game design (ages 11-14)

In partnership with University of the Sunshine Coast, we are excited to offer this educational experience for female students interested in exploring a career in the Serious Games industry. At this half-day workshop, you will make your own 'escape the room' game featuring Tech Girl Super Heroes using the Construct2 game engine. No previous experience required. Bring a USB stick with at least 8GB space.
