Babes in arms

Babies love the sound of your voice. Rhymes and songs are great for growing baby brains! Sessions involve 30 minutes of songs, rhymes and finger plays to encourage literacy and language development for infants.

Storytime is a program designed for preschool aged children and their parents or carers. Each 45 minute session consists of singing, rhyming, reading and age relevant creative play. Parents/carers join in with the children to encourage language and listening skills, promote attention and curiosity, and develop your child’s manual ability and creativity.

Pink precinct fun trail

Have fun and raise money and awareness for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Join the trail around Cooroy, spotting pink clues. It's not a race, just a fun morning out! Celebration and prize-giving afterwards at the hall. Register early at Cooroy Library (from 1 October) or on the day at the starting line.

Sunshine Coast Open House

A free public event that celebrates the region's architecture and offers behind-the-scenes access to some of the Coast's iconic buildings. The Cooroy Library and Cooroy Lower Mill Boiler House and Kilns are participating in the open house this year with a guided tour of each facility.

Under the Lino book launch

The surprise discovery of Commonwealth Bank passbooks and some 1940s money under the lino of an old Queenslander has uncovered stories of murder, fraud, grave robbery and brothels. Brisbane writer Caylie Jeffrey shares these stories and discusses the collaborative history project that is contributing to the ongoing research. Morning tea provided.
